EVANGELISM 101

Good afternoon!

How are you guys?

I had an exhausting but fun weekend!  Spent some time in the pool, ate great food, and fun with my besties!

I wanted to chat with the singles this summer.  You know the summer season is the hook up season!  Especially those of you who have not been saved all your life.  I am super excited not because it’s mating season for some, but this is a great opportunity to share the gospel with strangers.   I don’t know what it is about summer, perhaps it’s the beautiful breeze and the sunshine that keeps people happy.  People are more open to talk with Christians about Christ it seems in the summer.

Evangelism is not scary!  Get that stinkin’ thinkin’ out your head.  You can strike up an interesting conversation with anyone.  The key is to share in love.  You’ll learn something new from each individual person you encounter.

Not really hands on or a little shy? No problem, you can always give out a bible verse written on a note card to someone, your church information, or start a blog!

There are many ways to share your faith with strangers.  In my book “To be a Light in a Dark Place” I talk about many different ways the Lord allowed me to share my testimony.  Take a peak by clicking the link below.  God bless and great work saints!

WHAT’S TAKING SO LONG GOD???

Christian singles often ask God this question while we wait “patiently” for our mates. It can throw us for a loop when we see some of our fellow brethren marry fairly quickly.  Some may ask what did I do wrong?  I can honestly say nothing. We develop and walk out our journeys at our own pace.  Unfortunately I move like a snail.  My analytical personality doesn’t help.  I like to test and say, “Are you sure God?” Especially since I took a nasty spill in 2014.  I had to rebuild my faith.  To top it off, I’m in my 30’s and strangely enough, people believe you missed the getting married bandwagon. This is totally not the case of course.  Let me give you some reasons why for the delay and we can debate later 😃.

1. Your not ready

2. Unresolved issue

3. Did you forget to repent for any “known” sin?

4. Are you dating or waiting?

5. Have you developed a relationship with God?

6. Have you died to self?

7. Are willing to let God do it?

8. Do you believe he will?

LET ME EXPLAIN

“Don’t Judge Me”

We see this phrase alot now-a-days especially since social media is a part of our daily routine while using witty hashtags.  However, it’s growing increasingly irrelevant as people tend to use this term to defend their personal feelings and insecurities, rather than standing on the freedom of opinion. If someone is truly “judging” you by definition it means to carefully consider or form an opinion on something. It’s only if the persons attempt to judge is completely wrong that it becomes a reason for you to use the appropriate hashtag #dontjudgeme. The only way to determine if their judgement is accurate is this….you have to carefully consider if they are correct. Don’t go into defense mode right away unless it is way off target. Be totally honest with yourself.  Ask yourself, is the statement made referring to you true or false?  For example, some have found the statement, “Bruce Jenner is a man at the end of the day.” offensive.  Unfortunately some can’t see past personal hurts and their personal opinion to grasp this is indeed a true statement. He is indeed a man transformed into a woman by man….not genetics.  Now if I said Bruce Jenner looks stupid as a woman, that is my personal opinion that can be argued.  As humans, we are not the best judges of one another. God himself is a righteous judge. He looks beyond personal views and ideologies and sees beneath the surface.  Should we choose to judge, we should choose to consult the almighty creator.  His wisdom goes beyond human understanding. God bless!
