An open letter from Mr. Right

Very wonderful blog for the ladies who are waiting on God for there mates. Dont give up!

Dear daughters of God,

Contrary to what you have heard, I do exist. I’m no fairytale hunk with big muscles and thing for chick flicks (although, I may or may not have a man bun). So, put your daydreams of love off to the side for a minute and let me tell you what makes me, “Mr. Right” and why people keep telling you to wait for me.

The first thing I really want for you to understand is that I was not born your Mr. Right. I promise we weren’t destined to cross paths and lock eyes from across a crowded room and fall hopelessly in love. God has been working in my heart for YEARS! Do you realize what was in my heart before Christ saved me?! Of course you don’t because we haven’t met yet, but I can promise you it is equally as crazy and sinful as…

I am so excited to be working on book #2!  The Lord is truly blessing his people with revelation of his word and I am very happy to share with anyone who will listen.  As you all know, there is a lot happening in our world today.  Many signs and wonders of the present times.  We are seeing Christians killed overseas, powerful natural disasters, changes in the laws of the lands, and so many other crazy things.  Some believers are fearful of whats to come next.  I encourage you to not be afraid or upset about all the wickedness surrounding us.  Jesus us warned us about this remember?  Pick up your bible and read Mark 13:8.  We know this.  All saints at some point have said to themselves, God will give me peace through the storm.  And he does.

All believers know the scripture where Jesus tells the wind to cease when he and the disciples are in a boat on the water.  We can shout and recite that one day.  But I want to give you another scripture if you don’t mind.  I was studying Jonah.  You know the guy that got swallowed by the whale.  I speak more on Jonah’s fascinating journey in book #2 coming soon…however, I want to focus on this one line in Chapter 1 verse 5.  “Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them.  But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.”  Notice the part that is in bold.  You see the Lord had sent a mighty wind to toss around the ship in the sea.  If you every been in a boat or cruise ship on a stormy night, trust me its no fun and can be pretty scary.  Let’s just say a “mighty” wind really means a wind that can cause the ship to wreck.

Understand that mariners (unbelievers) panicked because they prayed to their god and the wind didn’t cease.  Now as all hell breaks loose and they are trying to save themselves now from drowing, Jonah (believer)  who trust in God is fast asleep.  Again let me remind you that is almost impossible to sleep during a severe storm out at sea!

There is no need to panic when all hell breaks loose.  You just trust your God!  Not the worlds!

How do I trust what I can’t feel?

To seek a face I can’t see?

Are these symbolisms?

What do the really mean?

Or strange parables I can’t comprehend?

What does it mean to pick up your cross?

Is the Holy Spirit simply a mist or cloud?

How can I understand this?

I didn’t grow up in the church

The falling out and speaking in tongues

All of it frightens me and I’m ready to runaway

But there is something about your word

That intrigues me as it pops of the pages

The story’s and the book of Psalms dance in my mind

It makes me want to know this God

Who gave the world his one and only son.

A city in ruins

Completely in shambles

The roads filled with holes

The buildings rotting within themselves

Overrun by inner city youth

Having ghetto tendencies

They wear bandanas and baggy jeans

You can hear the urban beat—

Banging in the streets

See the man begging for money

Apparently he has no place to go

See the mother and her child

They are waiting for the bus in the cold

Do you see the city?

Indeed she is alive

Unlike the fallen city of Rome

But is not appreciated so

And is often overlooked.
